Cornucopia Food & Wine Festival

Cornucopia is the fall festival that celebrates the best of food and drink from Whistler, British Columbia and beyond. The festival offers something for everybody with winemaker dinners, themed food and drink events, interactive seminars, health and wellness events and electric after-parties. Sip and sample your way through food of all kinds, beer, wine and spirits and enjoy a fantastic social atmosphere.
Whistler Blackcomb Opening Day – Ski and Snowboard Season Starts

This a day you definitely don’t want to miss! Grab a coffee and get in line early to make the most of an unlimited supply of untouched powder on both mountains! Yes, you read that right; both Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain will be opening on the same day this year so prepare to ski your favourite or hop on the Peak2Peak Gondola to ride both! Massive chairlift upgrades will be unveiled this 18/19 winter season, with a fully covered mountain-to-mountain experience with the new Blackcomb Gondola taking you to the Rendezvous Restaurant in comfort.
Arts Whistler Holiday Market (Bizarre Bazaar)

The market is back Saturday, November 24 & Sunday, November 25, 2018. Arts Whistler Holiday Market is two days of hand-baked, hand-made goodness. Grab some local artwork, a cozy sweater, or a delicious treat. With over 100 vendors form the Sea to Sky region and across BC, the young entrepreneurs of Bratz Biz, local live music, and visits from Santa, this is your one-stop-shop to get something for everyone on your “nice” list. If you haven’t attended before, the dates fall on an American long weekend and usually coincide with the opening weekend of the mountain – which means the resort is packed! Hours are 10 AM to 7 PM on Saturday and 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday.

Viessmann Luge World Cup Whistler

Watch more than 100 of the world’s fastest luge athletes from more than 20 countries as they compete at the Whistler Sliding Centre. Cheer as the athletes reach speeds of up to 130 kilometres per hour in men’s and women’s singles, doubles and team relay races.

Christmas Eve Carol Service

The 35th annual Christmas Eve Carol Service takes place the Westin Resort & Spa. Hosted by the Whistler Children’s Chorus and Whistler Singers, this interdenominational celebration features traditional carols, choral music sung by the choirs and readings by community members telling the story of the birth of Christ. Come and enjoy the sense of community and ‘peace and goodwill toward all’ that this carol service creates. Entry is by donation.
New Year’s Eve Celebrations

A family-style celebration at two unique ticketed venues within Whistler Village. Each venue will be filled with lively entertainment, games, crafts, activities and early kids NYE countdowns. Bundle up and join us in Skier’s Plaza for a special edition Fire & Ice show plus a dazzling fireworks at midnight. This portion of the evening is free for everyone to enjoy. Please be sure to bundle up with warm layers and footwear. The Whistler New Year’s Eve Celebration is a family-friendly, alcohol-free event. There is no consumption of alcohol outside of licensed venues permitted. The Resort Municipality of Whistler is providing free public Transit within Whistler starting at 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Peak to Valley Race

The Peak to Valley Race, presented by Jackson-Triggs, is celebrating its 35th year on Whistler Mountain. This unique race is not only long-standing, it is also the longest GS race of its kind on the planet, challenging teams of four to race down Whistler Mountain.
World Ski and Snowboard Festival

Known to locals as WSSF, the World Ski and Snowboard Festival combines spring energy with Whistler’s unique mountain culture for 6 days of non-stop events and action on and off the slopes. There’s music, art, photography, filmmaking, ski and snowboard competitions and non-stop nightlife, PLUS some of the best skiing and après sessions of the season. Take our word for it, you’ll need more than the weekend to appreciate this vibe.
Whistler Cup
April 11 – 14, 2019
The largest and most important ski race in the world, held in North America for athletes ages 11 to 14 years. Held under the auspice of FIS, the international governing body for alpine skiing, it attracts hundreds of young athletes from more than 21 countries each year.
